Young Reporters for the Environment
An award-wining programme in over 40 countries worldwide, Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) provides young people aged 11-25 years old a platform to research environmental issues and promote solutions through investigative reporting, photography and video journalism. Partnering with our NGO Green Growth Asia Foundation, two YRE students visited The Datai Langkawi and created educational videos on The Datai Pledge in 2020. They then utilised their learnings to create a video series presentation on sustainability and ecotourism, which will be shown at Malaysian schools. Also in 2020, we participated in five YRE webinars on various issues addressing conversation and sustainability. Visit the official global website for YRE to view webinars of the entire series here or our Film Collection to see the webinars created.
